Basic Event rules for burnouts


General 


  • No person is permitted on the in-field at any time other than event volunteers, registered drivers, registered passengers, those provided with a media pass or at the discretion of event management.
  • No BYO ALCOHOL at any area inside the grounds.

General 


  • No person is permitted on the in-field at any time other than event volunteers, registered drivers, registered passengers, those provided with a media pass or at the discretion of event management.
  • No BYO ALCOHOL at any area inside the grounds.
  • Neither Bundy Skids & Motorama (“we”) nor Autobarn Carina International Speedway (“the venue”) will be responsible for any loss or damage to vhicles or other property (including personal property such as bags, money or other personal items) brought to or purchased at the event by you.
  • We may refuse entry or evict any person from the venue if you are behaving in an unsafe or inappropriate manner.
  • No static burnouts outside the water box. 
  • Any hot work is to be performed in the designated hot zone. 
  • vehicle stands must be used at all times when vehicles require underbody work or the wheels are removed. 
  • Only drivers, passengers, volunteers and those with pit passes are allowed in the pit areas. Unless approved by the event management team. 
  • Children under the age of 14yrs must be accompanied by an adult at all times in the pit area. 
  • Enclosed shoes must be worn in the pit area.

  • Next Gen - 14-17yrs (4/6/8cyl)
  • Street (4/6cyl)

 Drivers and Passengers


  • Drivers must have a general speed licence from AASA.
  • Only one passenger permitted at any time.
  • All drivers and passengers must register and check in at the gate on entry to sign indemnity forms and obtain wrist bands. 
  • Once an entry form has been submitted, your entry cannot be transferred to another driver and you wi

 

 Drivers and Passengers


  • Drivers must have a general speed licence from AASA.
  • Only one passenger permitted at any time.
  • All drivers and passengers must register and check in at the gate on entry to sign indemnity forms and obtain wrist bands. 
  • Once an entry form has been submitted, your entry cannot be transferred to another driver and you will not be credited.
  • All drivers and passengers are to remain with their vehicle at all times whilst on the in-field and not wander around.
  • Any person caught doing a burnout or behaving inappropriately in the in-field, the pits or the grounds generally, will be asked to leave the event.
  • Drivers must not be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol at any time whilst competing. If we believe you have been drinking or are under the influence of an illicit substance, you will be refused entry to the burnout pad.
  • Drivers and passengers must wear an appropriate helmet (no push bike helmets), long sleeve shirt, long pants and covered footwear.
  • Vehicles that run methanol require the driver and passenger to wear approved fire suits. 
  • Drivers and passengers must remain in the vehicle when the vehicle is on the burnout pad unless instructed otherwise by an official.
  • Drivers and passengers are not to hang out the window or you will be sent off the pad immediately.
  • Drivers and passengers must wear a seatbelt whilst in the vehicle.
  • Vehicles must pass scrutineering at each event.
  • Drivers must not drive unnecessarily on the speedway track.
  • Drivers must adhere to the 10km/h speed limit throughout the speedway grounds.
  • Drivers are responsible for their own actions and for the actions and/or behavior of their passenger.
  • Event management has the right to terminate a driver’s participation in the event at any stage for unsafe or inappropriate actions.

  • A fire extinguisher must be mounted in the cab.
  • A kill switch must be installed and within reach of the supervisor in vehicles that juniors will be driving. 
  • All door handles inside and out must work.
  • Battery must be secure.
  • No loose/dangerous objects to be left in the car.
  • Rear tyres must be covered with guards or tray.

Vehicle Requirements

  • No split rims.
  • Throttle return spring must be secure.
  • Passenger compartment must be completely sealed from the engine bay and any fluid lines or tanks, including firewall, must be complete and intact, with no holes.
  • Must have a windscreen.
  • Must not have holes in the car floor pan.
  • Bonnets must be fitted unless otherwise approved by scrutineering. 
  • No excessive leaks (oil, transmission, steering, brake fluid, etc).
  • No fuel leaks, including fuel tanks.
  • Front brakes must be in good working order.
  • Must be structurally sound at the discretion of the scrutineer.
  • No wheel weights on rear wheels, inside or out.
  • No broken wheel studs or missing wheel nuts.
  • Overflow bottle must be fitted.
  • Tail Shaft loop must be installed.
  •  There are no restrictions on fuels i.e.: Petrol, E85 or Methanol (but should be clearly marked on windscreen).  
  • Fuel must be stored in appropriate containers that comply with Australian standards and the dangerous goods act 1985.
